Church Merger

Woodstock Community Church & Flavel Street Baptist Church

Since January of 2023, we’ve been exploring a merger opportunity. Flavel Street Baptist was established in 1960 and is located just seven blocks east of where Woodstock Community Church was meeting. God led us to a meeting in January, and since then, we started to get to know each other. We began to gather in worship together in June of 2023. We’ve sought the Lord in prayer and sought wise counsel by learning from those who have merged congregations in the past, and, by God’s grace, we officially merged into one church, Woodstock Community Church, on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
